Human, Animal Cell Profiling and Cellular Engineering

Extracellular (cell media) and Intracellular metabolites from cell extracts or cell pellets, provide a window into cellular metabolism.  Our wide coverage of diverse cellular metabolites that a large dynamic range covers multiple pathways.  Understanding metabolic pathways requires broad metabolite coverage with specificity and resolution of metabolite isomers. Our CEMS method covers hundreds of phosphometabolites, organic acids, urea cycle intermediates, glycolytic intermediates, oxidative markers and amino acid derivatives to address factors that may limit cell growth such as osmotic stress, oxidative stress, ammonia levels, nutrient depletion and growth inhibitors. Typical cell analysis using CEMS will provide over 600 polar metabolites.
