T-Cell B-Cell Metabolism

Our project scientists will work with you to create cellular metabolism pathway maps unique to your study to enable understanding the metabolism of your cell type.

T-Cell B-Cell Metabolism – Exosomes – Islet Cells

HMT’s capillary electrophoresis mass spectrometry (CEMS) methodology using high performance mass spectrometry (OMEGA platform) typically provides 500 to 600 polar cellular metabolites for cells from 20 micron to under 10 micron with cell counts from several million to under 1 million. More metabolites can be observed using the advanced option. With such deep coverage of cellular metabolites, we can build high density pathway maps.  T cell metabolism is at the forefront of many disease studies including cancers.  Understanding T cell cultures, T cell activation, effector functions, growth stimulation, can include cellular metabolomics. At HMT we are focused on cell profiling. T cells are smaller cells, as are stem cells.  Our highly sensitive CEMS platform delivers on providing high content metabolite profiles on a number of different types of cells such a T cells, B cells, Exosomes and Islet cells, in addition to cancer cells, liver cells, nerve cells and more.

Step one:  Primary cells, adherent cells, suspended cells. Cell size. Number of cells available for analysis.  Number of samples per group. Provide extraction protocols.

Step two:  Decide on metabolomics platform; C-SCOPE (targeted quantitative analysis of glycolytic pathway)  OMEGA Scan (untargeted polar metabolites)  LC-OMEGA (lipids analysis)

Step Three:  Data analysis – quality control assessment – pathway design – biological summary
