Bacterial, Fungi, Algae Metabolism

Bacterial cells, Fungi extracts, plants, algae represent a group of specialty samples and HMT has analyzed with protocols to optimize polar and lipid extractions. Cell extractions, cell pellets, plant roots and leaves, algae extracts and algae cells can be analyzed using HMT protocols.

Plant, Bacterial, Fungi, Algae Metabolism and Cultivation

We have completed many studies supporting agricultural and microbiome related samples. Clinical studies are growing that include measuring the status and changes in biodiversity and the microbiome.  Understanding metabolites that are commonly linked to bacteria and fungi is essential to unraveling data from biomarker studies in stool and plasma.  In our analysis we will organize metabolites by food intake / exposome / xenobiotics from bacteria/fungi from endogenous metabolism, keeping in mind that most endogenous metabolites also exist in bacterial and fungal cells. In addition, using our proprietary CEMS platform, many additional bacterial metabolites are observed (indoles, peptides, amino acid conjugates) opening new doors for biomarker discovery. While the classic discovery sample for gut microbiome is stool analysis, bacterial messages are observed in all biofluid and tissue / tumor types in human studies.
